| This theme offers a wide
variety of topics for museums and historic sites to cultivate
and expand upon. We know each site will have their own unique
stories, photos and local personalities (past and present) to
share! We want this year’s theme to be entertaining, educational
and engaging. We all have a special connection to the theme,
let’s share it, let’s play it, let’s sing
it, let’s celebrate it, let’s tell it, and most
importantly let’s honor our mountain traditions and make
some new ones as we go!
For your convenience we have provided our 2009 Museum Guide featuring museums and historic sites
in our western region, including a detailed map, driving directions,
hours of operation, telephone numbers and email addresses. Museum
Guides are available at NC Welcome Centers, Area Chamber of
Commerce offices, Host organizations and at all museums listed
in the guide. You may print the new
Museum Guide and/or Museum Map from this site.
See our Calendar of Events for 2009.
Also check out the current Museums-in-Partnership Newsletter.
Have fun and enjoy your time in Western North Carolina!
Sincerely,
Kaye Myers
