Accepting Matching Grants Applications

Friends of Mountain History a 501 C 3 non-profit organization supporting historic sites and museums in 25 counties of Western North Carolina will accept grant application until January 16th, 2007.

Eligible applicants are heritage organizations, museums, or cultural organizations with a heritage-related program throughout a twenty-five county region that is organized as a non-profit tax exempt corporation and conducts historical promotion among their major activities. Eligible counties include: Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Surry, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, Yadkin, and Yancey.
